CONNECT EQUINE LTD – ‘WHO ARE WE?’
We started in 2019, when two horsewomen with many years of combined riding, bodywork, saddle fitting and biomechanics experience, came together to share knowledge and innovate the saddle industry. We now have a global network of distributors who share our ethos.
We are passionate about saddles and their potential! We believe that a saddle provides infinite possibilities for creating a connection between horse and rider and can become a facilitator of huge positive changes in both. We also believe all horses and their riders have the right to comfort and freedom of movement and it cannot be exclusive to only one, as both are totally interdependent.

Our saddles and girths are of an exceptional high quality and hand made to our specifications by our manufacturing partner, Frank Baines Saddlery, one of the longest established families of traditional saddle makers in Walsall, England.

Connect Equine Ltd are leading the way in saddle design. Many saddles focus on the comfort of the rider (to the detriment of the horse) a few prioritise the horse over the rider, but no brands really appeared to give equal focus and value to both and this is something we desperately wanted to address. We are focussed on the biomechanics of both the horse and their rider and our innovative ConnectTek design technology is in all of our products. Our saddles are designed to support the dynamic lifted back shape of many different equine backs; from the broadest, flat backed natives through to the more A-framed thoroughbred types. By incorporating ConnectTek into all of our saddles, we are able to:

Support that horse’s dynamic posture, regardless of whether they are broad with a flat-back or narrow with a high set wither

Enable the horse to find a greater freedom of moment by enabling them to engage their hind legs more readily and find a more weight-bearing posture

Support the rider in finding and maintaining the correct ‘neutral posture’

Provide a high level of comfort for the horse and for the rider

Allow for the width of the saddle to be adjusted without stretching the tree points and risking compromise to the tree
We also manufacture high quality hand-made Girth, Correction Pads and Wither Pads; all of which incorporate ConnectTek.
What is neutral posture?
Neutral posture is the only position where a rider’s joints are free to move independently.

Neutral posture enables us to be stable in the saddle, and rebalance with movement, absorb the movement softly in our joints and move in synchronization with our horse, making it easier for them to carry us. The horse feels neutral posture immediately.

Inability to sit in a neutral posture in the saddle leads to imbalance, bracing and ultimately, discomfort for both rider and horse.
